While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
Psalm 146:2
Praise the Lord, almighty King;
Put not your trust in princes
To God all joyous praises sing
For the wisdom He evinces.
Put not your trust in princes
Our God alone has worth
For the wisdom He evinces
Provides for all the earth.
Our God alone has worth
The hungry man He feeds
Provides for all the earth
He wards off evil deeds.
The hungry man He feeds
And widows He upholds
He wards off evil deeds
With sovereignty He molds.
And widows He upholds
While making blind men see
With sovereignty He molds
New creations who are free.
While making blind men see
The Lord will reign forever
New creations who are free
With joy will serve Him ever.
The Lord will reign forever
To my God all praises sing
With joy men serve Him ever
And praise the Lord, almighty King!
Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
Psalm 146:3

Thank you for bringing us a little background history to the Psalms. I am a fan of the Psalms, especially the ones full of praise and worship. What a mighty God we serve!

Flowery words are a form of action. . . Words in the mouth of a sovereign God beget action. He speaks and it stands fast!
Thanks, Catherine J.

A combination of "flowery words" and actions works for me.
Thanks for saying so! Lord bless you today - may He speak flowery words to your heart and soul. . .
