(I thought I'd start off the month with something especially uplifting, so I delved into my archives for this one, which I wrote on 6-17-2000).
To bathe in raindrops poured from misty mountains
To dive through rainbows flowed by earthly fountains
To step and squish in life's primordial ooze
To bask on meadow hills 'neath endless blues.
In breathtaking new beauty I surrender
Just walking in your infinite splendor.
The Lord has blessed this joyous land we share
Adore each life and creature here so rare
A planet green and lush beyond all time
Sent to grow and glow and flow then shine.
In passages we sojourn toward the sun
O'er abysses bravely voyaging as one
For these reprised material pleasures
I long to gaze on God's own golden treasures.
And if the other worlds exist
May love grant their people bliss
So we might someday bless their earths
To find a higher place for man's rebirth.
