Last week I ordered and received a copy of Gather's own, Peter Joseph Swanson's Merlin's Charge. Peter was of course delighted when I let him know I now had it, and asked I do a review here on Gather once I was finished.
In one word the book was - fantastic!!! I am a huge fan of the fantasy genre and Merlin's Charge does not disappoint. In true Peter fashion we set out on a quest for the holy grail, a magic cauldron, which has been stolen from its people and has left the land barron and in drought. Merlin, with his infamous charge Arthur, are asked to retreive the cauldron. Along the way they are joined by a motely crew of helpers and Arthur is forced to learn some hard life lessons in his ultimate journey of becoming king. Merlin gets enmeshed into a lover's triangle and soon finds himself yearning to once again be back in the Dragon's Realm. As they toil along for their prize, their journey is fraught with danger, hillarity, and triumph. It is a tale that could only be told by the talented Mr. Swanson!
If you would like to purchase and read a copy of Peter's book - trust me he will tell you :), or you can go online and visit Amazon.com, or Stonegarden.net.
Happy Reading!

As for Gather reviews of books by other Gather members, in my spotlight is my review of Not My Turn To Die, by felllow Gatherer, Savo Heleta.
I'm so happy the way authors support authors in this community.
Sounds like a fabulous book. Adding it to my list of must reads.
What an awesome review that just whets one's appetite.
