Best Costume?

How was Halloween in your neighborhood? Did you pass out candy? How many trick-or-treaters visited your house?

What kinds of costumes did you see? What was the most popular one?

What was your favorite costume?

We had a variety of candy to pass out - mostly chocolate. Hubby also found individually wrapped Twizzlers. That was cool.

As usual, there were quite a few little boys dressed as super heroes - mostly Superman and Spiderman.

There were also many more homemade costumes this year than last year.

We probably had between 75 and 100 trick-or-treaters.

And my all time favorite was a homemade costume of Thomas the Train. The mom did a great job making it - out of card board. And the little boy was so proud of his costume, especially when I realized what/who he was. :)

I didn't pass out candy this year. I was worn out from a long work week, plus doing overtime today, so I just left my light off and stayed inside.

We went out so weren't home to pass out candy. We found an awesome neighborhood that almost every house was decked out. 1 scared the wajeebas out of my daughter. I got a cool picture of an eerie ghost. We went to our old complex and visited old neighbors, each one wanting to chat so darkness fell pretty quick. We were quite excited to find that ghostly neighborhood. My daughter was a renassaince (sorry can't spell that right now) princess and I wore a leather jacket so people called me "biker chick"...sugar boo of course got the most attention and she was just wearing her new coat.

we had so many trick or treaters! It seemed like a constant stream of kids, we had bought 9lbs of cand as well as 4 big bags of candy from walmart and we only have about a handful of candy left.

I seen one costume that I thought was just too cute, it was a little boy about 3 years old and he was dressed like a boxer, it was really original and you could tell it was home made, and a nice change of pace after seeing all the store bought super heros.

My kids are young so we did out trick or treating early before the sun went down, the kids loved pasing out the candy to other kids when they came to the door.

Where we live, trick-or-treating is from 6 to 8 p.m. When they start, the sun is still up. And at 8 sharp not another kid shows up at the door.

wow, that is really good, is that a home owners association thing or kids just stop at 8? Where we are if you have your porch light on they will knock until about 10pm.

Wow, you got a lot of trick-or-treaters. We left the house at 6 p.m. to go to a fall festival, and by then there had been no trick-or-treaters.

Our streets were crowded with children. The best costume was a porcupine. Keyring flashlights and doubloons on string tied for the best treat. The children were less afraid of the house that created a scary cemetary/ haunted house in the front yard. Best adult idea was neighborhood block parties handing out treats. What a blast!

i went as the mad hatter and went out to a party at a bar. it was a lot of fun, lots of good music, good people. my mom said there were no trick or treaters though =( we had a lot of them in the mall yesterday actually..
