This poem comes from my youthful muse and is probably meant for the young’uns out there. But there is some seriousness here. One of the ladies who were instrumental in Streaker’s recovery had to bid farewell to her own Irish Setter this week. An Irish Setter named Daisy. Godspeed Daisy and God bless all the pets of the world.

In the memory of Daisy
I knew a cat named
Willie Moon
Who gobbled h
is tuna
From a wooden spoon
And always slept until
Four in the afternoon
I knew a cat named
Willie Moon
I loved a dog named
Tuggie Sue
She wouldn’t bar
k but
She ate my shoes
And my bare feet
Would get the chilly blues
But I loved that dog named
Tuggie Sue
I taught a goldfish named
Flipper Finn
That if it was raining
He shou
ld come on in
But he still stayed wet
Through thick and thin
I taught a goldfish named
Flipper Finn

- I'm kidding honey. They also go with bagels. LOL
Fancy Feast she does demand
Never eats from a garbage can
Big hazel green eyes stare at you
Till her tuna comes from you.

So full of joy. Who loves his pets
and then gets a kick
out of all the tricks
they could do and shared that too.
A boy and his dog, his kitty, a fish.
A life every boy would wish!
Barbara H's poem for you was really fitting.
