They still haven't crossed the hurdle of an artificial womb yet though~ so we are not quite at that point yet~ but creepily getting closer all the time~
I think stem cell use for curing of illnesses it okay, but creating babies? NOT And I agree with Genki, the world has enough people without creating them artificially.
Folks, we need to become a multi-speces Genus. We need to create humans who can travel to the stars. We need to create humans who can live in the depths of oceans. We need to create humans who can create humans. This is one way to begin that process. There will be improvements on it, and there will be other ways.
I can honestly now foresee the religious right trying to pass a law about throwing away hair and fingernail clippings because that is a potential human life.
Women will still be needed to carry the babies to term. How are they going to get around that one? But we are moving towards a world where MEN aren't needed. *laughing*
Perhaps there'll come a day when you guys will only be around because we like you as people, not because of procreation. LOL
Who's the weaker sex now? hahahaha
And you know I only hang around with the kind of guys i want to keep around. ;-)
