don't give them lettuce. it gives them diarrhea. they like fruits and broccoli, just make sure the broccoli is cut up small so they don't choke. they also like bugs for the protein.

as far as the plate, i'm sure he will pass it. i don't know if it will make him sick though.

It's not the plain lettuce. It's Romain or something like that. He's been eating it for years. Believe me, he poops like a horse.He gets a mix of veggies,fruit etc.and it's cut up good. I just can't figure out how he chewed up that plate.I'm not going to be able to sleep now. I feel so bad.

I'll try that, but more than likely they will say "we have to see him" That is not an option unless they want to come here and wrestle this mini dinosaur and see him for free. I 'll have to keep an eye on him tonight, but will call if I see any changes and explain my situation. Maybe they can say to give him something.

Hope he's OK! I had an iguana when I lived in Florida when I was a teenager. He lived in my bathtub! Then we gave him to a friend who had a swimming pool that he had drained, he lived in that pool for years and years, happy as could be.

I hope the iguana will be okay. I saw a guy years ago carrying his pet iquana in his leather jacket. He wasn't wearing the jacket, he was just using it to carry his iguana. It was the only time I ever had the chance to get close to an adult iguana.

Iggy isn't very friendly. My son is the only one who can (and is brave enough) to pick him up, but it's on Iggys terms.

Sorry no expert here. We have iguanas, but they are all wild:) No need to keep them in the house, as we have plenty of lizards coming through once in a while.
