Tonight, Karen M posted an article asking for help on how to earn points the easiest way on Video Squares. My answer was that I use Roulette & Blackjack to earn points quickly. After answering, I was curious as to how quickly the points add up for me.
I downloaded my point history, and took all the roulette games I had played so far, in a row, tonight. It started with the time stamp 19:19, and ended with the time stamp 20:24- 1 hour and 5 minutes. In that 65 minute time span, I had earned 3,780 points.
Now, here's my tips on making it work the best.

- Make sure you are set to bet with the 5 token chip, not the 1 token chip. Every time you re-enter the roulette game after going to a different page, it resets itself to 1 token. This is found in the lower right hand corner. In Image 1 above, I've circled it in orange.
- Bet the table max- you can bet up to 5 tokens per square, and up to 50 tokens per play. That means you can set 5 tokens each on 10 squares before spinning.
- Focus on setting your tokens mostly (or entirely) on numbers. It's harder to win each time, but the payout is much higher. For instance, if you put 5 tokens on the number 14, and it hits the number 14, you will win 175 points. If you put 5 points on "Even", instead, and it hits number 14, you will only win 5 points. That's a huge difference!
- One thing I like to do, is concentrate all the tokens into 1 area. You can put 5 on a number, but you can also put tokens on the lines separating each number, as well as the corners. (See Image 2 & 3 above to show the corners & lines in orange) If you place a token on the line, it splits the bet between 2 numbers. If you place it on a corner, it splits it between 4 numbers, so the payout is a bit smaller. Now, to utilize this, let's take a "for instance":
- Find 1 number to focus on. I usually pick a number in the middle strip. Let's start with 17. Place 1 5 token chip on 17, then place 1 token on each of the lines. They will let you put 3 across each side, ending up with 9 total tokens (counting the middle token, on number 17) on & surrounding the number 17.
- For the 10th chip, you can choose to either on the 2-1 box for the middle row, on the 2nd 12 box, or on the line that separates the number 16 from the 2nd 12 box. Placing it on that box will set it up so that if you land on 16, 17, or 18, it wins, splitting the bet between 3 boxes. The grid is shown below in Image 4.
- Click Quick Spin, and see if you win!
All in all, it's a "gamble", only it's free to do the gambling, and the points are rather nice. Twice tonight, I was able to win large amounts from the 'grid' I mentioned above. There are other grids I use, but the above is the most concentrated form. Betting on the lines really helps your odds.
Here are my two most recent wins:
- Forming the grid from above on number 14, and putting the 10th token on the 2-1 box. I hit number 14, and all 10 token placements won, earning me 685 points. This win is shown in Image 5.
- Forming the grid above on number 29, and placing the 10th token on the line between 28 & the 3rd 12 box. I hit number 29, and once more, all 10 token placements own, earning me 730 points. So far, that's the highest win I've found on the Roulette board. This win is shown in Image 6.
