"Next thing you know, he's jumped into my lap...He put his hands around my collar and neck and was choking me. He's pulling me up out of the chair, and I grabbed his hands so I could get them off my neck..All the coaches kind of rushed over, and Tee and Cheston grabbed me by my arms and Degory grabbed Locksley...But Locksley's hands were free and he was just throwing punches. He was throwing punches and hit me right in the mouth. I could taste the blood in my mouth."
Okay....so yea...Thats not good.
That quote you just read is from J.B. Gerald, talking to ESPN Friday about what happened between him and New Mexico football coach Mike Locksley earlier this year. The fight led to Gerald's dismissal.

The incident occurred in September, but the imbroglio prompted New Mexico officials to act then and now and clean up the mess. According to documents attained by ESPN, New Mexico disputed "Gerald's claim that he was choked and that Locksley tried to punch him. "
But, irregardless of the validity of the statements, Locksley was suspended without pay by the university for 10 days.
This weekend, Locksley will return to the sideline Saturday for the Lobos, who happen to be 0-6. Ugh.
