The 50 percent off coupon to Payless from Oprah could not have come at a better time. In September I bought a pair of OshKosh sandals for my three-year-old, and I was very excited as they looked like they were high quality. Today I checked the sandals as they were making a sound. I looked underneath, and the heel was barely there, and there was a hole in them. Wow, I know we walk a lot, but this little boy has only worn them for about a month.
Since I already had the Oprah coupon printed out, I decided to check out the Payless down the street. They only had three sandals to choose between, and the cheapest ones were not very nice. I spotted a pair of Cars sandals, and despite the fact that I don't like the kids having character clothes etc., I decided to spoil my toddler.
Sky almost could not believe his eyes, when I let him try them on. In fact he almost put them back, when I asked him if he liked them his eyes said it all. I gave him the coupon and told him he could go pay with his money from Oprah and Daddy would pay the rest. He was so proud, when he walked up to the cash register and handed over the coupon. At 22.99 full price, there was no way he would ever have gotten them, but at 50 percent off he got lucky.
Sky was so excited about his new Cars light-up sandals, and he got to wear them out the store. He showed them to everyone on his way including the crossing guards.

I am sad that the OshKosh sandals did not come through though, I had gotten them at summer clearance for $5.99 at Kohls. I called Kohls, and they told me just to bring them in with the receipt and they would take care of it, so at least I wont have wasted the money completely.
The Oprah 50 percent off at Payless coupon, can be found at Oprah.com, and it expires tonight at closing, so there is still time.
Did you use the Oprah coupon?

Never knew about the coupon, and there's no Payless anywhere around here anyway.
I don't mind an occasional character shirt (bought at a good price of course) but I don't like character shoes for some reason, I never have. However, Elliott got his first pair last fall, also Cars. They weren't sandals though, they were sneakers...the velcro kind, so he could put them on himself without help, and they light up, so he loved them. They were on clearance for $7.99 at Sears, and he has worn them a few times already this fall, so I feel like I got my money's worth out of them, even though they are designated as his outdoor/play shoes.
