The first thing I noticed is that the character, police officer has a common name with the author. I love mystery novels and hope to take advantage of this offer for Christmas.

Thank you for your kind words. There is a little of the author (me) in the book. It is based on a true story; the murder of my close friend and one-time mentor, a Homicide detective sergeant in the Indianapolis Police Department.
