Pregnant and need some advice...

I would go with the reviews that you find on store websites. Many people will post if they had a bad incident with a stroller or car seat. Otherwise, most sets are pretty standard in what they are like, safety wise. I wouldn't skimp and go with the cheapest set, but you can likely find a nice car seat/stroller combo for around $150.

Maybe go to a store that will let you push the display model stroller around a bit- some strollers are more difficult to push than others. Test folding it down, see how compact it gets, that sort of thing. When my son was born, my mom sprung for a really nice tandem stroller, since our daughter was only 2.

I wanted it, but never tested it, and really wish I had. It was expensive, and horrible. It didn't fold down very small, and took up almost our entire trunk. It was so heavy that I couldn't lift it in or out of the trunk on my own, so it wasn't something I could use unless my husband was with me. It was a horrible stroller.

Yeah, a friend of mine raves about the UppaBaby stroller, but it is like 700.00 and I think that is a lot for a stroller...

read reviews,ratings,etc. what will you use the stroller for,how well it stores and ease of using it on different terrain.a cheap stroller is just that cheap. go to stores and see what are there and the style you would like. the one i had was a combination carriage and stroller,but then again that was a few years back.
