Edmunds.Com added to White House enemies list

On Wednesday, Edmunds.com released an analysis of the Cash for Clunkers program comparing actual car sales vs their estimate of sales without Cash for Clunkers. Their conclusion what that incremental sales cost taxpayers $24,000 per vehicle sold.

Thursday, the White House response HERE was that Edmunds issued "a bombastic press release" was "Busy Covering Car Sales on Mars", that "Like many of their previous attempts (emphasis mine), this latest claim doesn’t withstand even basic scrutiny" and that the analysis was "designed to grab headlines and get coverage on cable TV".

Peter Wehner writing in commentarymagazine.com says it well.

"Whether it's Fox News, the Chamber of Commerce, or companies that sponsor reports that take issue with the administration's assessments, there seems to be a cast of mind (in the Obama Administration) that views critics as enemies, as individuals and institutions that need to be ridiculed, delegitimized, or ruined."

Soon the list of those NOT on the Administration "not friends" list will be rather short...

Funny how so many of those on that growing list are the business/investment companies Obama claims will drive any recovery.

It is funny how no other administration has ever had such lists, even though they have had their opponets. But then you see a growing pattern here with Obama and his cohorts, and not a good one either.

Are you serious Dan? This article uses "enemies list" as a figure of speech to describe organizations or corporations whose statements the White House has taken issue with.

President Nixon is the one famous for his enemies list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enemies_list

Catch the Obama White House pulling shenanigans like THAT, and I'll gladly vote for whoever you tell me to in 2012.

Ok you got me there, but I always had a hard time accepting him as a Republican too. He had a lot of the modern Liberal views and loved to free the real serious crooks like the Democrats do. Look at his 963 pardens, they are much like Clinton's pardens.

That won't make a difference, they well still say we supported him. Just because they said so, does not matter that we did not.

Very interesting.
There was a president in the past with lists..... well that became public.
Ford comes to mind, but I could be wrong there.

Why is it that every time Obama is critisised someone comes up with "well so and so did it" That's an excuse?

We are dealing with this president not past ones.

I don't think Obama takes criticism very well.
