Costumes, pumpkins, candy bars, oh my! Halloween can be a spooky day of high-sugar, high fat treats that are passed out and eaten by all ages. But, don’t let this day (and the following week) ruin a healthy diet. Before trick or treating, treat the family to a nutritious meal packed with protein, so that your kids are energized for the big night out. Try the Creamy Pasta & Egg Skillet or the Pad Thai with thai-style noodles, sprouts and eggs – both dishes are great sources of protein and calcium. For a snack the next day, whip up some devilishly delish deviled eggs, which are great for all characters – zombies, monsters, angels alike!
What will your kids be dressing up as for Halloween? Any special dish you always serve before/after the holiday in your home?
