Morticia Addams ~ in 2nd grade. My mother made the dress..took and old sheet and dyed it. I had a great mask and wig.....it was tough to walk with all the tentacles, but I just loved it!!!

I can only remember being a Japanese performer one year, decked out in a black bun wig (my hair is blond), kimono, white cake makeup and some cool sandals. I don't remember any of my other costumes!

A clown was always the easiest for me to put together.
Plus I always like the controversy of the clown.
Some people like them, while some people are horrified by them.
Even as a child I got a kick out of this!!

We made our costumes. Not like today.....

I never got into the costums, used to get into my mother's make up and buy a few things and make my own. I was told a few time I had a real nac for it. Did my baby Brother as a vampire, and every one thought he looked so real. I made my self as a Pirate, with earring, and scars (latex and make up), which was my favorite design. I think I had a scar over my left eye that year, latex and elmers glue. lol

I had a ballerina costume once - I also loved my robot costume - a big dishwasher box that I painted and found a bunch of stuff from the basement to make into a cool robot. Those were the days!
