I left my cell phone in a restaurant last night. It's an old phone, about twice the size of most phones when I got it on Freecycle, and about 3 or 4 times the size of phones today. I like the bigger size, since I tend to misplace even the bigger one often.
When every person I know has left his or her phone in a public place, it's vanished for good. My daughter has lost two Blackberries, one stolen from her purse at a party at a friend's house and once while visiting Las Vegas. My nephew works construction and has lost several phones. And so on.
My old, large phone recently lost it's antenna. Nobody wanted to keep it. Which is all right with me. I'm going to love it until it doesn't work any more. I gave my petite new phone to someone needing a phone.
Maybe it's because I can relate. We're both big, old and slightly worn out.
