UMM . . . DID YOU SAY SOMETHING?

Do you watch TV?  Do you listen to people speak?  What word begins almost every sentence of almost ever speaker?  The answer is . . .

umm

Yes, that's right;  most people cannot utter a sentence without starting it off with umm. A dialog between two people could well contain thirty or more umm's inside of ten minutes.  After drug addiction, alcoholism, food addiction, smoking and gum chewing, umming is mankind's most serious affliction.  Surprisingly umming is by far the easiest addiction to overcome.

Ummers cannot be taken seriously; they cannot be trusted.  They are unsure of themselves, doubtful that what they say has merit.  Intelligent, educated, self assured persons do not umm.  Never put your faith in a politician or a salesman who umms.  Did Jesus begin His sermons with umm?  Or answer the questions of His followers by starting with umm?  Would you be a follower if He did?  I think not.

If you umm STOP IT.  Walk straight, hold your head up high, speak clearly, think before you speak, and STOP UMMING. If you can do that you'll be a much happier and successful human being.
