ALL ABOARD FOR “DISNEY’S
A CHRISTMAS CAROL” TRAIN TOUR

Our Boarding Ticket
Disney pulled out all the whistle stops and took its show on the road with a spectacular immersive and interactive 40-city train tour which included a 3D sneak peek of film; for us this was a once in a lifetime experience.
My family and I boarded the train on Oct.27th when the train pulled into the nearby 30th Street Station in Philly.
We even got to see footage from the upcoming movie “Disney’s A Christmas Carol,” amidst a snowy backdrop—complete with all of the sights and sounds of Christmas including carolers, decorations, giveaways and many surprises.

Christmas Carolers
Disney's Train Tour was launched back in May with HP on board as the title and technology sponsor and of course was driven by Amtrak.
And the best part was that this event was free!
The up coming movie opens in theatres November 6 in Disney Digital 3D and in IMAX 3D and stars Jm Carey and was created by the award winning film maker Robert Zemeckis.
Disney’s A Christmas Carol’ Train Tour was an incredibly fun way to introduce my family to the wonders and spectacle. The event was certainly unique and was a fun and fabulous way to have a great time discovering things about the making of this extraordinary film. We participated in our own festive fantasy even morphing our faces into the characters with our souvineer photos that we will pick up soon from Walmart.
This was the perfect introduction to a fun and exciting new holiday classic.
Among the highlights of the tour were authentic artifacts on loan from the Charles Dickens Museum of London; artwork, costumes and props from the film; demonstrations of performance capture technology; and that experience of morphing our faces into one of the film’s characters using HP TouchSmart PCS
After boarding the train we then got to enter into a state-of-the-art Disney Digital 3D Theater that was erected in the train station and we got to see a sneak peek of “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” and see other exclusive behind-the-scenes materials from the movie.
