Anyone who watched Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday night between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees was able to witness Cliff Lee shut down the powerful Yankee offense.
They were also able to watch Cliff Lee catch a lazy pop-up while Lee looked like he was in the backyard playing catch with his kid. He then turned around and made an incredible behind-the-back stab on a sharp bouncer up the middle.
The Cliff Lee catch in the 6th inning off the bat of Johnny Damon showed his cool and calm demeanor as he mowed down the Bombers left and right en route to Philadelphia's 6-1 win and a 1-0 series lead.
In the 8th inning, Robinson Cano hit a bouncer up the middle that looked destined for center field. Lee put his glove around his back and snared the would-be hit, throwing Cano out at first base.
