Celexa is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin re uptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Celexa affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause depression.
How should Celexa been taken
•This drug should be only taken as prescribed by your doctor never take an increased dose thinking that it will make you feel better faster and never stop taking your medication because you are feeling better without first speaking with your doctor.
•For this medication to work at its best you should take it at the same time every day.
•As with any anti-depression medication you may have to take this medication for at least 4 weeks or more to start to feel better. You should not stop taking Celexa without speaking with your doctor first as you my have some bad side effects if you just stop taking your medication all at once.
•Store Celexa at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
What happens if I take too much Celexa?
•Seek emergency medical attention if you think you have taken too much of this medication. Symptoms of a Celexa overdose may include nausea, vomiting, tremor, sweating, rapid heartbeat, confusion, dizziness, seizures, and coma.

What are the possible side effects of Celexa?
•Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: skin rash or hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

problems with balance or coordination; or

depressive disorder (MDD) and other psychiatric disorders. Anyone considering the
Celexa or any other antidepressant in a child, adolescent, or young adult must balance
risk with the clinical need. Depression and certain other psychiatric disorders are themselves associated with increases in the risk of suicide. be monitored appropriately and observed closely for clinical worsening, suicidality,
unusual changes in behavior. Families and caregivers should be advised of the need
