Life-recently though I could ill afford it a...

I have been a working photographer for over 30 years. I've shot for myself, newspapers, wire services, online services, done weddings till I developed the guts to say NO! AND MANY ANOTHER UGLY JOB going 'click'...

Recently I ran into someone who needed money in a very VERY bad way.

Someone who had a Nikon D40 Digital SLR.

Now I'm lighter in cash, but not much, he's not going to have to sleep in his truck, and I have a wonderful new toy.

I still love my Panasonic 'prosumer' boxes but this Nikon is pretty slick.

See the shot I took while looking at the camera, testing to buy below.

Then, since it's almost Halloween

I took a Monster photo...

two points to make.. 1. I didn't beat him out of it, I paid HIS price, and part B. this sucker is COMPLICATED... oh you can point and shoot with it just fine but the array of controls is amazing. I think I'll love getting to know it.
Winter up here is good shooting time.

Congratulations Doc, what a great toy! I have a photo on my fridge of the D90....I'm saving up whatever Amazon gift cards I can get my hands on, and my SLR account is slowly growing.
