There has been a factoid that has been talked about in political circles that President Obama was elected by the use of the internet, social networking and in no small part, the use of Twitter. The Republicans, during that election cycle, didn't figure it out until way too late to help them. So what did the Connecticut Republicansdo during this election cycle? They decided to set up 33 fake accounts using the names of state Democrats! Then, they would send out messages mocking the "liberal tax and spend policies" of the democratic led congress.
Twitter has shut down the fake accounts and has stated that the fake posts violated their anti-impersonation policy which led to the accounts being shut down.
The state Republican Chairman's reaction? Twitter and the Democratic party was interfering with their "right of free speech"! He said it wasn't about impersonation or fraud, but satire....yes, he said that with out laughing.
Although Twitter has shut down the accounts, there are still 33 web sites that the state RNC created using the names of the Democratic lawmakers and they are not shutting those down. As far as anyone knows, this is the first time that a state party has used a tactic such as mocking the other candidates:
“They didn’t think of it first, so that’s why they’re whining,” Healy said.
Said like someone who is used to lying and cheating his way through life.

Can't even impersonate someone on line successfully. :)
It's pretty juvenile. It's satire like the classic prank phone calls. E. g.
Q: Is your refrigerator running?
A: Yes.
Q: You'd better catch it.
I'll skip the Prince Albert one.
Not much luck impersonating libs tho because they can't string a sentence together before writing abortion, God or prayer.....a dead giveaway! LOL
