SOME PARENTS ARE SO ................ UGH!--- RANT

We just met a young coupl with 2 kids.

They have a little boy who is 3. The only thing I can say to describe him is the word HORRIBLE.

They came over and this kid was screaming for everything.

He wanted water and he screams and throws himself on the floor till mom or dad go and ask what he wants.

You try to hug him and he screams- My boys who are much older than him try to give him toys to play with and he screams- His little sister who is only 1 accidentally touched him and he called her a f***ing B***h! His parents didn't do anything about it.

The dad went to try to get him before he destroyed my teacups and the kid punched him and dad didn't even do anything about it.

My husband had to tell the dad to get his kid in check or go home.

All we heard from mom and dad were emptythreats to this kid.

If you don't sit down I'm gonna spank you-

If you don't stop screaming I'm going to put you in the corner- If you don't behave I am going to send you to grandma. WE heard this all night while dad sat on the couch and never got up to discipline the kid!

I don't get it. Why is it so hard to keep your kids in check?

My kids new that if I gave them "The look" then they better buckle down.

I see it every where myself. This kid may have extra problems that you don't know about..I guess I would have simply asked the parent's if he did...If they said no, I would say beat his ass.... =p

He really did need a good spanking and they were not doing it.
He would just throw himself on the floor throwing fits and screaming loud and nothing was done. GRRR

I feel the child could be mimicking the parents' behavior. I feel that's what they do at home. As we say, Charity begins at home.

It sounds like the parents need parenting classes. The kid doesn't want to be like that. He's probably the most miserable of all. He has no boundaries and nothing to adhere to so he screams.

I agree with Barbara. Kids need boundaries and consistency. Sounds like this kid is getting none. It also sounds like the only attention he knows how to get is negative. And you know he hears that language somewhere. Who knows how this couple act toward each other in private.

oh my...I had to deal with a 6 yr old in my car last night that wouldn't stop saying the word ass....and I guess even his younger brothers cus all the time.....absolutely no reason for this, but just tells everyone what they hear at home.--HH

Oh boy how you kept it together!!!...........IF kids are rude to the parents in my house I say something---HAY its MY home and I don't want my kids to see that and think its acceptiable--- Just a simple "We don't act like that here____" And if the parents say someting to you kindly tell them these are the rules for our house......maybe then they'll(but I doubt it) see how rude the child is being.
