Walk By Faith

Peter walked by faith

And not by sight

As he left the boat

With Jesus in sight

He walked on water

And did not sink

Until the winds blew

And he began to think

The water gave way

As he began to fear

And fear robbed him

With Jesus so near

Walking by faith

And not by sight

Means believing firm

Not freezing in fright

Belief brings us faith

Faith brings us hope

We need to go on

Not worry and mope

Faith in the Lord

To guide all our ways

Will bring us through

The hardest of days
