Maybe this is not appropriate for all of the photo groups to which I'm posting, but I'm desperate and need help...Maybe you or someone esle who is into digital photography can help me?
I was working on getting photos stored in a SanDisk Ultra II photo digital disk with Photoshop. I was cropping and saving the ones I wanted to use when all of a sudden while saving one, my computer froze and I had a "not responding" sign up on top. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get anything to happen. I had to turn the computer off by hitting on Restart.
When I had the computer back up runnning, I went back to Photoshop and tried to open the disk again. A pop-up window came up telling me that the disk was not formatted. Did I want to format it? When I clicked yes, it warned me that if I did I would lose everything stored, so of course, so of course, I clicked on no or cancel.
I can't do anything with the disk. Have I lost everything?
I had photos there for an upcoming article for a magazine as well as for a newspaper spread of an agricultural festival....
Is there anything anyone can do or help me with to retrieve my photos?
Plese, I have hundreds of photos I need in that disk!!!
Please, someone say yes!

Are you using the little square things, or CDs?
If they open, save them then put on a new disk?
You might not have enough memory, if this is so, and you have a lot of photos open,
Close all but the ones you are actually working on.
I use the little cards not a CD
I'm taking it to the computer center where the techie repairs my computer when I have problems and see if she can sort it out for me...
I really appreciate your information and will pay attention next time to boid the same thing happening again
