Tonight my husband took the kiddos to the movies. He declared it Dad and kids night. That means that I get a break to read, play on computer, watch a movie or take a bubble bath. Wasn't that sweet of him?
They are meeting up with a buddy of my husbands who also has a son Maddies age. They are playing at McDonalds and having Happy Meals, and then off to see "Space Boys."
First thing I did was to fix myself a big bowl of warm chili. Nothing tastes better to me than Chili on a cold Fall night. I always like to have Saltine crackers with mine.

I put away a few loads of laundry and did some dishes and now I am getting ready to settle in with a book and a cup of coffee. I purchased a book at a yard sale recently and have been dying to take it down from the shelf and open it. It's called "Bastard Out of Carolina," by Dorothy Allison. It looks like it might be a heart wrenching read, as seen through the eyes of a child, but one I won't be able to put down.

This is my favorite mug that I recently purchased at a yard sale for a quarter. Isn't it cute? I'm trying to look at my life as half full right now and enjoy each moment that comes along. I hope you all are having a nice Tuesday evening, no matter what you are doing in your neck of the woods. What are you doing in your neck of the woods?

Enjoy yours as well.
I still haven't gotten off the computer and started to read yet. ha ha
I got the two oldest boys in bed, but Emmett is hungry for love. I am typing from my bed, as I am so tired, but I need to get some work done online. My husband came home early tonight ...7 p.m. I asked him if he was done for the night and his response was "Well, yes, but I might head out real quick...for a few hours....I thought it was a very contradicting answer, but he is doing paperwork with his 86-year-old boss, and I know it can take quite a while.
My husband went to bed early, so it is me & gather right now. My daughter is on her computer~
I just got the baby in bed. It sounds like the other three are all asleep now, too. So I have a while to myself before my husband gets home from work.
We had chili dogs for dinner!
By the way, we have started the fall session of Shedding Light in case you are interested. hope to see you. Salud
I do love the treasures I find at yard sales too.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
