Can anyone explain how someone, an adult, would think it OK to blow his or her nose in the supermarket and shove the tissue behind stock on the shelf?

I agree. I can't image what these people are thinking.
obviously not.....
Can i have my tissue back please?
Over the years I have been witness to some very disturbing actions by my fellow earthlings.
As a kid, back around 1951, I remember seeing a bum in New York sitting in a doorway on Third avenue and masturbating.
I also saw a young man from a prominent family on Long Island take another bums eye out of his head because he asked him for money. He got a suspended sentance and moved out of the state.
In 1958 Mississippi I saw water fountains, waitiing rooms and restaurants with the sign "Colored only."
In Montana back in '59 I saw a crowd of white men beat a Sioux Indian half to death because he walked into a bar on the wrong side of town.
Yup, I agree, we have lost an edge on the civility trail, but I repeat, was it any better back in the good old days?
In my comment, of course, I was sweeping with a board brush, speaking of my personal experience. As a kid, if I were in the supermarket with my mother and dropped trash on the floor, Mom would have had much to say about it.
Then again, back in the 60's, I recall old people saying 'today's young is out of control.'
As much as things change, everything stays the same.
disgusting.........
I'd probably tell them so too.....
