So..........................
What am I saying here anyway?
Am I asking for us to give our current President $1000 or more (either meaning to take up a collection and, then, send what's been gathered off to The White House or else asking that each of us who read this should donate a minimum of $1000 to the man)?
Actually, no.
What I'm asking won't cost any of you a cent to do--just a little bit of your time.
Of course, you wouldn't want to do this unless you agree with this.
However, please go here:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/enact-youth-outreach-day
to sign a petition, if you agree with its message (which I'll be copying and pasting below).
When we have collected a minimum of 1000 signatures, we will be sending it to President Obama--but I hope that, even after that, signatures will still continue to be added, because the more signatures contained the more convincing the petition will be.
One more thing...Just your signature alone will be convincing, but, in order to add more "Oomph!" to this petition, I hope that at least some of you will add some of your own words of wisdom.
When you go there, you can read what other people have written. Their words are quite interesting and powerful.
Here's hoping to see you over at the petition!
Blessings!

Now, here's the message of the petition...
We the members of Invisible Youth Network would like to see that Children all over the world are recognized. How can we do that? By having a National Event.
We at Invisible Youth Network, would like to see a Youth Outreach Day becoming a National event to be held every second Saturday of October. In doing this each community can put on a Fair, Cook-out, Craft-sale or other Event. They would raise money for their at risk and homeless children and also if they want donate to an organization for homeless and at risk youth.
We will be writing Representatives to enact a National Event on the Calendar for Youth Outreach Day to be celebrated every second Saturday of October & would be most grateful for your support of this proposal.
There are a lot of homeless and at risk youth in the United States alone. In fact it is estimated there are approximately 1. 5 million.
If we can Enact this event here in the USA, We at IYN believe that other Nations will do so & we may start to truly address the hardships faced by Homeless & At Risk Youth around the Globe.
Despite our motto "Advocating for America’s Youth," our endeavors are focused on all homeless and at risk youth with no regard to their geographic location.
Mahatma Gandhi said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world," and with that in mind, The Invisible Youth Network envisions better lives for children who cannot see it themselves.
Yours faithfully
