Life today on the farm~ photo essay

 Rainy day here in Virginia. Going to be the same tomorrow too. Most of the leaves are finished, looks like we're on our way to Winter.

  I saw my boss lady today.  She rode Robi for her first time.

  She's been  paying someone to ride him to get him ready to sell. he was always to much horse for her. She's been taking riding lessons too this Fall and her confidence has built immensely.  So, today she rode him and had a marvelous ride and decided to keep him. Yay!  I was worried about my job with all these horses leaving, so this is a plus.  i will still be looking for another job, but don't feel so rushed now.  Leave it up to the fates I reckon. Like if Robi decides to give her a bad ride, i guess the For Sale Ad goes back up,lol.



Miss Daisy is not feeling well for the past few days.



 I think all these walks and the rainy weather has made her bones ache.  her front legs locked up on her the other night and she couldn't walk for about 10 minutes. She can walk now, but can't jump up on anything by herself. :(



My daughter brought Mason over for the day to cheer her up. That helped her mood. she missed her Mousing buddy.



I tried on this hat on him and he definately Hated it!  Shook it off as soon as I let him go, LoL ~ Unlike Daisy who loves her wardrobe.

Kim, I'm thinkin' Robi doesn't want to see you go so maybe he'll keep givin' the boss lady an enJOYable ride! Poor Daisy...my girls feel this damp weather in their bones too, hey, so do I!

my bones ache too. and yes, i was glad to not see any pranks today too. i grilled my family to death on this and they swear they don't know. they think it's funny. so im thinking they have a clue.

Nice photos and essay. We are raking leaves like crazy. I can only do so much and it makes me feel bad, but the pain gets to me. At least I do for awhile.

I'm glad Robbie will be staying. Some horses have to be handled daily in order to keep them from being so spirited. I'm glad your boss's confidence in her ability to ride him has gone up and she will continue working with him.

Try giving Daisy a 1/4 aspirin or so..or maybe a baby aspirin if you have it. Used to help my dog when he got old.

Thanks dan, I was out of it. just got some this evening. found out daisy loves the baby liquid tylenol. sucks it right out of the dropper.

Poor Miss Daisy. That makes me fret about Ripley's future. Daisy isn't that much older. I kind of counted on RIpley staying energetic at least into double digits. Even if I lost her at 15, it would be way too soon. . .

Glad things are looking up Kim however I am concerned about Miss Daisy. You might try getting her some baby asprin to help her achy bones. My vet has me give our old dingo one every day to help her out. I also give her vitamins for joint health and she gets along better.
