Thanks a bunch Cindy..I just wish I could do more for my daughter. Her Dad abandoned paying child support about 2 years ago. She hasn't seen him since she was about 5 and she's 10 now. It's really hurt her!

Deb, hope you get at least some of the items on your list. I'm thinking this is part of a group effort? Seems like there was an article about it a week or so ago. Much like the way we'd do in college in Hawaii. Tell everyone we knew what we needed and sure enough someone would have a solution, whether it was baby-sitting, trying to find a used car, clothes for a child.

Just any kind of snacks or treats..candy, whatever...We run out of food every month. I like to have treats and stuff for my daughter too.

It's partly because we feed and try to shelter a LOT of feral and abandoned cats each month. We have an inhumane humane society here where I live and they would be gased instantly if we took them there. I am searching desperately for a TNR Program..there are just none here in my area. Two area grocers will give us broken bags at half price but that doesn't happen much...sorry for rambling I just wanted to explain!!

Yay!!! I saw the guy who installed my water softener at a Fall Funfest for my daughter this last weekend and he said he would stop by and take a look at it (told him I had no money and he said that was okay!!) I just couldn't believe it! Maybe one of my wishes just came through!!!!

Deb, from now one when I see a cat food coupon, I'll cut it out for you. We are having a terrible, hurtful scandal at our humane shelter right now. It's enough to make a person sick. It is also a shock. When it got so bad, I just don't know. And there was a scandal just before this one at an animal rescue site not far from our city, so life can be cruel even for the animals we think are in safe hands. I do hope that someone is fired and possibly charged with crimes here over this problem at our humane shelter.

It's the same with our animal shelter. They immediately gas all the feral or strays and also sell animals to animal testing facilities where they do tests that are painful to the animal!!! Theyare completely inhumane!!!
