Mark McGwire is coming back to baseball!

Mark, my son and I followed your career, early on, with great anticipation.  My son had all of your rookie cards and thought you were the greatest player in baseball.  But time does a number on all of us and things change.  Everything is in a state of flux and we have all had to adjust to it.

We were disappointed in the news that came out of the drug use. No one is perfect, but anyone can turn their past around, if they want to employ the proper tools this time.  You were quite the performer on the field and you really could make that bat of yours sing.  I have one of your game bats in my possession.  When I was upset with you earlier, I tried to sell that bat that I was given as a work bonus from Rawlings Adirondack Bat Factory.  

No one wanted it.  It is a one of a kind bat.  No one has one of these Oakland A’s game bats in perfect condition from the 80’s.  When I was awarded the bat, I remember asking if I could get a finish on it like all of the replica bats had.  My boss asked me: “Do you want a finish on it or do you want it the way Mark gets it in the box.  So I have this great “Big Stick” bat with no finish.

Mark, would you like this bat?  It is still in the plastic tube I bought for it, and it has never been used in any game.  I am out of work right now and have been since early July.  So if you want to offer me something for it, it would certainly help us out right now, as we live from day to day.  I recently interviewed for a job and may have it in a week or two.
