Today I have had the television on at work with cnn going. I do that sometimes just to create background noise. Today it is especially quiet so I am actually listening to some of the news stories. I swear its better to sometimes not know what is going on.
Between the war and people hurt, missing , or killed there is very little good news. We have friends over in Iraq and hearing the death tolls over there just puts sickening knots in my stomach.
My heart goes out to all the people over there serving. My heart goes out to all of the families who are sacrificing. It takes a special type of person to be able to give their all for their country. God bless you and keep you safe.
It has been a while since I contributed anything to honor those in the military and just felt time. I was driving in down the road of a small town here in Connecticut. The town was Middlefield and they had a field of flags and it just reminded me of how much so many have given.
Veterans day is quickly approaching and just wanted any vets, or military personel to know that they are not forgotten because many people feel like I do. I keep them in my prayers along with their families.
