Bob's Fowl Day
Elizabeth E. (aka Ladybess aka Bob) is a Leprechaun who fled Leprechaunia and is now tramping, trudging and snapping away with her camera in sunny Western Australia. She somehow, when drifting in a hot-air balloon above the Perth Zoo, managed to fall out of the basket and land in my snazzy condo - situated in the Ape House - and thus avoided the clutches of the Oz Customs and Quarantine Service.
When finally seized by them, she will surely be deported - Don't want more zonked out little folk here, thank you very much! However, until she's caught, this Yankee Leprechaun from Boston is firmly in my clutches ... in the hairy paws of this New Age, born-again ape stumbling around in search of enlightenment. Now the two of us are just route marching about to have a squizzy at anything and everything in West Oz. Why? Because when little Bob crash landed on the balcony of my Ape House condo, she shrugged, grinned and cheerfully announced: Have camera, will travel - let's go and kick butt! Alas, Bob was destined to have a foul fowl day or a fowl foul day.
Image 01

I missed out on a big breakfast - gotta find something to eat.
Image 02

A pear snack can only do so much.
Image 03

Hmmm ... what's over there?
Image 04

Wonder what parrot tastes like?
Image 05

Damn, it got away!
Image 06

A hot dog on a spit could be good ... would she miss one?
Image 07

Now there's a thought - barbecued seagulls.
Image 08

Oh, oh - here come the quick marching thought police.
Image 09

I guess seagulls are off the menu.
Image 10

Just have to keep trudging a bit more ... but I'm getting tired.
Image 11

Perhaps I could try hitchhiking with them.
Image 12

Faster, mummy, faster - we gotta get away from that strange lady in red.
Image 13

No room in this inn, either, by the looks.
Image 14

Go away, strange red lady - this is my seat!
Image 15

I feel faint ... gotta find something to eat.
Image 16

Nice duckie, nice duckie - come a little closer.
Image 17

Oh, oh ... another of the thought police.
Image 18

Yes, yes, officer, the black duck is safe - I won't touch it.
Image 19

Hmmm ... I'll just move along a bit more, keeping my eyes wide open.
Image 20

I'll put it on zoom to better see the yummy things hiding out there.
Image 21

Damn, the bugger is making a run for it!
Image 22

I don't believe a word of it!
Image 23

Ah, roast duck on the wing!
Image 24

Come to momma - closer, closer, just a little bit closer ...
Image 25

It says, Take no prisoners!
Image 26

Hmmm ... they seem tasty but there's four of them, and looking feisty.
Image 27

I've hit the jackpot! They look delicious!
Image 28

Mine, mine, all mine!
Image 29

Please don't report me - I promise I'll leave the little buggers alone.
Image 30

I didn't promise anything about herons.
Image 31

Come back, come back!
Image 32

She took pity on me.
Image 33

What does the menu say?
Image 34

Have to stick to pears, I guess.
Image 35

I'm whacked ... could shove the kid off and sit there, I suppose.
Image 36

I must be hallucinating from hunger.
Image 37

Is this an illusion generated by roast duck deprivation?
Image 38

I wonder if she's composing a duck menu?
Image 39

Oh, it's a novel - A Duck Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Image 40

Yes, she's writing a novel, subtitled, Foul Born Free Fowls.

Your photos are clear, we're all in a lather
I want to accept this to Gather Writing Essentials, but it's not in the title or tage anywhere, (MWE), if you want to resub and add that I'll take it.
Thanks,
Marilyn, Monday Editor (MWE)
I've now added MWE to the title and as a tag - I hope that fixes that.
It appears this ape is writing a dissertation on the eating habits of wandering wild women and so in return for bed and board I agreed to be part of his study. He did reveal to me that he needed other subjects besides myself....so if you are a wee bit wild as well as a wanderer and would like to be a candidate for this study, please send a private email to this New Age Born Again Ape.
The Ape House grapevine is buzzing with the news that the lovely Jane is consulting a divorce lawyer - and I'm getting ready to pole vault over the zoo walls to escape any fallout.
Like your new icon. Reminds me of my youth....especially the shirt.
This is too funny... :-)
I loved all the fowls, especially the ducks of course!
Magi, I am thinking YOU will be a nice subject of a new study if and when you get to return the favor by visiting Boston so... watch out! Hehehe.
Can't wait :-)
Bob, I will have to delete those incriminating images, quick smart!
You'll being winging it home, Bob, back to the snow in North Carver while I start searching for my summer swimming trunks. LOL
That's what happens, Kathryn, when a Bob goes traveling in a hot-air balloon and falls out of the basket to land on the balcony of a Born-Again Ape's condo in the Ape House at the Perth Zoo. And she will be greatly missed.
This post makes me hungry...so I'm off to find my own big breakfast.
That is, after I click on the feature button once again, for Celebration of Collaboration and Inspiration.
Enjoy your breakfast!
Featured in the Triple Name Club.
What a beautiful park and area........can I come visit now?
Hop on the Tardis - mention me to Dr Who - and come right on over.
Great places
great you and Bob
Your captions are a riot. I love the first one about the "quick marching thought police." That's going to stick with me when I pass some of the thought police myself.
Ignore the thought police, my friend!
I found a document from OZ with Bob's name in it!!!
A document, you say? Is that a deportation order.
This is really funny and would be a great slide show at her high school reunion or any other important social event. Maybe you could send this to PETA or the NRA here in apple pie land.
Yes, we had a fun-filled day.
I'll leave you thanks anyway and switch browsers when I've tried to view the other ones I still haven't looked at. I don't want to miss a single one.
