You are in charge of your life. You can live every moment to it's fullest and have all your dreams come true.
You have the power within you to fulfill your dreams. The problem with most of us is not knowing precisely what we want, or vacillating from one want to another before implementing a program to create it.
It really is up to you. Take charge now. Decide how you want to live, a life of vitality and purpose, or one of neglect and unfulfilled dreams?
Know what you want to happen in your life. If you start your day unsure of what you want to do or accomplish, you will go through the day accomplishing none of your wants, needs, or desires.
One of the best ways to start your day is with meditation. You can do a simple meditation to start and eventually you will want to make it longer. For now, make it simple.
Before rising, mentally think of one word and repeat it in your mind for a few minutes. Be sure the room is quiet and peaceful. The word can be 'me'. The importance is thinking it over and over again in your mind. Try not to be distracted, if you are, plan to do it another time and find a few minutes during the day or before going to bed, and simply relax and repeat whatever word you have chosen. In time you will move into longer and more productive meditation. For now, go slowly so you don't become discouraged.
I found writing what I truly want down, placing it where I can see it and read it, preferable out loud frequently, it seems to bring whatever it is I want much more quickly.
Using this method I got a car--an excellent car--FREE! I got a washer and dryer, in like new condition--FREE! And those were only two of the things I've received by meditating, visualizing, and writing it down. It works, it really works. It's been working for me and it can work for you

A few months later my brother, who lives in another state, gave me his wife's car since she no longer drives.
The story of the washer and dryer is a bit longer and very unreal involving a friend of mine, a soldier in Iraq, a woman in KY and me in TN. But I had written, "I have a relatively new washer and dryer that work really well and I receive them without undo expense."
Got both free, delivered and set up and didn't cost me a penny, thanks to my friend.
Though I am wondering, was this more talking with yourself? Maybe you needing encouragement?
It just seams like your not giving yourself enough credit. It is you who had done this, not any ceremony you practice everyday.
I spent the first 9 years of my life as a welfare child of a single mother.
I raised six children, went through a sad divorce, and was alienated from my family for a few years.
When a 9 year relationship ended at age 51, he left me for a younger woman, I had $8.56 to my name and a dog, a cat, and rent to pay with no job.
I have 6 stents in my heart, had the first of several heart attacks at age 47--I am now 72 and my income is social security.
My father died of cancer after a 11 month battle, my mother 5 months later and the father of my children two years after that, then the relationship ended less than a year. I had heartache and heartbreak in a 4 year period, along with heart attacks.
So Sharon, I have had some difficult times in life and I have had to struggle to make ends meet, still do and maybe that's why I am thrilled to see that what I wrote above works for me.
You can't appreciate the good times as much as I do if you haven't had a few bad ones.
Thanks for commenting and be blessed in all you do.
I had a big smile on my face ...She had said to me "You must have no problems" why do people assume just because others try to help others get ripped like this???
I wish people would quite assuming something about others .
I have two things.
"I have a book published by the publisher I desire."
"i have the physical condition I had when I was much younger."
Both of which actually require that I do a ton of work. But in this instacne, that is the key. And that I believe it will happen, so it will.
I will myself better out of a horrible accident 16 years ago.
It would be fine also to offer up our day with its joys and sorrows for the greater glory of God and when retiring to bed, to thank him for the day once again, seek His pardon for any minor faults that we may have committed and then lay our head to rest. Just an after thought to ensure that we are on the right side of God.
Well, yours was a very thoughtful post and very beneficial for mind and body. Thanks.
"As a Man Thinketh", a book written many years ago by James Allen. As you think so shall you be. Change your thoughts, change your life.
Yes Mary, I guess I could go along with you. I'm curious though how much is your SS per month, and you probably own your own house free and clear. Main things food, shelter, clothing. After that it's all up hill.
Mary
I agree.
5 years ago if you would have told me that by now I would have already earned my Associate degree and be working toward my bachelors I would have told you that you were crazy.
But I thought out my life and what I wanted out of it, and HERE I AM attending University!
They who have no central purpose in their life fall an easy prey to petty worries, fears, troubles, and self-pityings, all of which are indications of weakness, which lead, just as surely as deliberately planned sins (though by a different route), to failure, unhappiness, and loss, for weakness cannot persist in a power evolving universe.
comes with wisdom in its truth.
