Kata Sent me a photo of her leaning against an Oak tree on one of her walks in Gyor Hungary during winter, It inspired me to write this...
I rest I trust I wait.
Sounds of gentle winds whisper by autumns leaves
Like hearing butterflies flapping in the breeze
Resting quietly against an oak tree
Waiting for the wind to turn to freshen
The smile upon my face
I rest quietly but the forest is alive with the ruckus of life
Everyone is busy feeding, filling, fixing
For winter is all but here
I rest, I trust, I wait, you will be here
To replace this oak so I can lean on you.
Time is passing another winter has come
I look out to the oak, it is still there
Its bark is weathered in time
It is getting old just like me
I wish it were you there looking back at me
So I may touch you, feel your breath
Fresh upon my face like it used to be.
