My hubby works 3rd shift and when he gets home in the morning, he always honks the car horn for our daughter's to meet him at the front door. The girls are 1 year and 3 years old. Our 3 year old gets very excited and runs to the door.
Today, she was really tired and was laying on the love-seat watching cartoons. We heard a car horn and then a car door slam shut. This was about 2 hours after Daddy was already home and upstairs sleeping. She looks at me excited and says "Mommy, are you thinkin what I'm thinkin?" I said "What are you thinkin?" She says "I think Daddy's home!" I said "No, Honey, Daddy's already home. Remember? He's upstairs sleepin." She just looks at me with a blank stare and says "Okay" and goes back to her TV show.
It was so cute!
