Reporter Accuses Republicans of Attempting To Murder The President

    Those big bad vast right wing conspirators in the mainstream media at Fox News are at again. They just can’t stop showing their conservative bias. Or is it the other way around.?

 In what is probably the best example yet of just how fair and balanced those loyal liberals in the mainstream media are, take a look at the following email sent to the press secretary of Florida Congressman Connie Mack:

You know what? I don’t believe one word you or other conservatives say. The Republican Party is now a mentally ill group of people who want nothing more than to destroy Obama’s first term no matter how much the country needs his policies. I despise your party’s activities and the hatred you spew on Fox and other sounding boards for the insurance companies. Please don’t you dare get him killed, which is the underlying goal of you right wing nuts.

That was the response that John Guerra, a reporter for The Key West Citizen newspaper in Florida, sent off to Stephanie Dubois, the Congressman’s press secretary.

With “on the record” remarks like that I am sure that the Key West Citizen can be relied upon for truly balanced journalism. Perhaps his frank assessment will earn him a Nobel Prize for literature when the distinguished honor is awarded next year. Or maybe Guerra’s accusations of attempted murder of the President will warrant his taking up a position on the editorial board of the New York Slimes or Washington Compost.

Either way, while liberal liars try to shoot down Fox News and accuse Republicans of trying to kill the president, perhaps it’s time they do some deep soul searching and realize the truth, something they rarely deal with, which shall set them free.

They might also want to chew on some of the anti-Republican and anti-Bush news story that Fox has broken over the past few years.  They broke the George W. Bush drunk driving story on the eve of the 2000 election. Four years later, Fox reported Dick Cheney’s one-time advocacy to lift sanctions against Iran while he chaired Halliburton. And Fox did not skimp on stories about Halliburton.

I guess Fox News really is good for nothing.  They can’t even be counted on as a relaible pro-Republican propaganda machine.   But I will tell you what you can count on.  You can be sure that the mainstream liberal media will be there to lob bombs, make false accusations and deliver faulty facts, ala Dan Rather and The New York Slimes.  One need not look any further than John Guerra and The Key West Citizen to understand that.

Mack: Health Care “Trigger” Option Just More Smoke and Mirrors

WASHINGTON – Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14) issued the following statement today following news reports that President Obama and the Democratic Leadership may consider implementing a “trigger” for the public option in their health care bill as a compromise to entice more senators to vote for their ill-conceived plan. Under the trigger idea, insurance companies will have to meet certain benchmarks to avoid triggering a government-run health insurance plan from taking effect.

Mack said:

“This “trigger” idea is just another way for President Obama and Democrats in Congress to push our country down a path of nationalized health care.

“The Administration and the Democratic Leadership have made it quite clear that they believe the government, and not the free market, has all the answers. They refuse to listen to the American people, who are opposed to a government takeover of our health care system.

“The people of Southwest Florida and the nation aren’t going to fall for this gimmick. More freedom, and not more government, is the right path to reforming our health care system. Maybe one day the liberals will grasp this simple concept.”
