Here are some REAL, thought provoking answers to government takeover of our health freedoms, from a Congressman and Doctor. Everyone has asked, over an over. Will YOU take the time to read?
I decided to include this email in it's entirity as it is very well written and brings forth the answers to questions for which we have been waiting.
Please consider each of these proposals and tell me what you like and/or don't like about them.

Campaign for Liberty believes it is time to reform the way health care is delivered in America. Years of ruinous government intervention, excessive regulation, and corporatism have damaged the patient-doctor relationship and driven up consumer costs.
The solution to our health care dilemma will not come from some grand scheme concocted by the same people who ran our economy into the ground and who continue to accumulate trillions of dollars in debt.
It will come from choosing freedom by ending government meddling in health care, protecting patient privacy, returning more of our hard-earned tax dollars to us, and ensuring the federal government does not block any information about alternative treatments.
Congressman Ron Paul, an OB-GYN who has delivered more than 4,000 babies, has introduced several pieces of legislation in Congress to bring true change to health care and to protect the American people from further government intrusion.
H.R. 2629, the Coercion is Not Health Care Act, stops government from taking even more of our money and railroading us into its health care scheme by preventing any individual or agency in the federal government from requiring anyone to purchase health insurance. H.R. 2629 also prohibits conditioning the receipt of any government benefit or participation in any government program on the purchase or maintenance of health insurance.
H.R. 1495, the Comprehensive Health Care Reform Act of 2009, allows all Americans to pay their health care bills through the method that suits them best by providing all Americans with a tax credit for 100% of health care expenses (fully refundable against both income and payroll taxes), allowing individuals to roll over unused amounts in cafeteria plans and Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA), providing a tax credit for premiums for a high-deductible insurance policy connected with a Health Savings Account (HSA) and allowing seniors to use funds in an HSA to pay for a medigap policy, as well as making all medical expenses tax deductible by repealing the 7.5% threshold for the deduction of medical expenses.
H.R. 1498, the Freedom from Unnecessary Litigation Act of 2009, addresses rising medical malpractice costs by providing a tax credit for negative outcomes insurance purchased prior to medical treatment and by preventing medical malpractice awards obtained through binding arbitration from being taxed.
As Dr. Paul said in his speech introducing H.R. 1498, “Relying on negative outcomes insurance instead of litigation will also reduce the costs imposed on physicians, other health care providers, and hospitals by malpractice litigation.”
H.R. 2630, the Protect Patients and Physicians Privacy Act, allows patients and physicians to opt-out of any government-mandated or -funded system of electronic health care records and repeals the federal law creating an “unique patient identifier.” It also denies the use of federal funds to advance the use of standard unique health identifiers in any federal, state, or private health care plan.
H.R. 3394, the Freedom of Health Speech Act, requires the FTC to actually prove health care claims are false before preventing those claims from being made, and
H.R. 3395, the Health Freedom Act, ends the FDA’s attempts to censure truthful health claims.
These are just a few of steps Congressman Paul has taken in Congress to address the health care crisis.
Click here to get contact information for your representatives and urge them to support Dr. Paul’s health care reform legislation.
And be sure to visit Dr. Paul’s congressional website, where you can get information on all the legislation he has sponsored and cosponsored in the current Congress and several previous ones, read his speeches introducing his legislation and remarking on other efforts, and learn more about his work to restore respect for the Constitution in Washington.
The federal government has meddled in our health care affairs long enough. It’s time to choose freedom.
It’s time to make sure Americans can receive efficient, effective health care by unleashing the power of the free market.
In Liberty,
John Tate
President
P.S. Contact Congress today and let them know it’s time to bring true change to health care by supporting Ron Paul’s health care reform legislation. And be sure to remind them of your opposition to all attempts to further raise taxes on any American to pay for health care or to force us to purchase a government-approved health insurance plan.

Issues like protection from Faluty malpractice charges which drive up insurance costs and medical expenses, just put out, that it costs us 53 billion a year. Goverrnment involvement in medical practices, which have increased costs and reduced medical practice to the poor, seniors, and middle class over the years mostly but not totally by Democrat regs.
Reducing some of insurance say in what is done, but not to quiet them compleatly, as they have also caught and promoted many issues that have improved quality of medicine, but to reduce the areas they have hurt medicine. Making Doctors and Insurance accountable for their actions, thus promoting a better practice. Promoting ingenuity in both doctors and Insurance Companies, to increase better service.
One reason for Insurance companies is that if the Government took over, it would cost us 10 times plus what we have to pay now.
Talk about control!!!
That is too much commonsense for Linda, and she and others would have no empathy of the plight of others unless they look like her. Linda rather throw snippy personal remarks at those who do not agree with her than learn anything new. Paranoid about medical records is a clear example, if you have a SS# your medical records are available, if you enter an Emergency Room your medical records are available, if you file for any type of insurance your medical information is accessible, Some creditors have access to your medical records--medical records are accessible from many places which require a signature on a contract. Silly are those who think there lives are"Confidential".
So then your medical records would be available to every IT person who can hack into the system. Believe me, it is not secure. Info can be then sold, used to solicit business, by pharmaceuticals, and any health-related product you may need. If you don't mind everyone knowing YOUR business, have a go at it. But keep your cotton-pickin chicken-pluckin hands off mine.
If people can think outside the box of "free healthcare for all" then would see these would be a huge step towards healing the system.
So tell me, what are the problems Govt. caused that they can't fix? Fraud? Talk to the insurance people about that one. Abuses? Again, talk to the insurers, they are huge abusers of the system.
The only thing that allows me to sober up is when I remember that they vote. Where's the PP counselor today?
HR 1498 is so much a sham it is laughable. The only thing it does is make absolutely sure that insurance comapnies get as much money as they can and anyone who relieson binding arbitration for a health injury caused by the medical profession is a fool. You cut the wrong foot off and I am limited to arbitration and a preset payout out is ludicris at best. A diabetic woman about two blocks from me had her left foot removed when it should have been the right one and she ended up getting her hospital and doctor bills paid and $15,000 cash. Yippee, such is outrages yet we have folks out here talking about how horrible it is for those who want more.
Linda at what level of medical expertise have you haled from in which such a diagnosis is possible? Medically insulting and assumptive are you while deflecting a logical comment. Not good, not good at all! Oh, that is right no one ever accused you of being good!
Oh, the fact he had no idea what Campaign For Liberty IS, let alone it has nothing to do with healthcare.
Yet, his comment, and your, yet to be determined "astute" comment, are both laughable. (see, I didn't reuse the word "retarded" so as not to be cyclical)
What else would you expect from Linda?
She thinks that "Campaign for Liberty" is a grassroots organization. It barely covers up its frightwing propaganda. Take this article for example:
http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:sglzmshinh8J:www.campaignforliberty.com/blog.php%3Fview%3D20610+site:www.campaignforliberty.com/+talmud&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
The difference between Linda and most of the astroturf queens is that most of them are just stupid, and are being pimped out like $3 hookers by people who are smarter than them.
Linda just spreads lies because she has no integrity at all : it goes along so well with her abject racism.
The irony of the whole issue as I see it is that these leftie humanitarians who are always so saddened by the plight of the poor and downtrodden don't give a damn about anything but the money in the long run. As long as everyone gets a piece of the pie it doesn't matter whether it's just stale crumbs distributed evenly as long as it's free. As long as everyone is eating the same shit, it's okay with them.
HR 2629 I agree with this proposal to empower people, and neither government nor insurance companies. This is his segue to HR 1495 where he outlines the tax credits and deductions that are the implementation of empowerment. HR1498 addresses tort reform which is one of the single most important factors that are the cause of health care cost inflation. HR 2630 is just a basic necessity to ensure the rights to privacy that we have been granted in the Constitution. There shouldn't even be a need for this because it's already illegal. HR 3394 and 3395 are vital to our ability to retain access to nutritional supplements that are so important to prevention and an alternative to getting sick so we will be forced into the drugs that phama pushes. Ron Paul is aware that they are trying to do all they can to block advertising of nutritional supplements. It shifts the burden of proof of false claims in litigation to the government agencies rather than to the manufacturer of the supplements, as it should be.
If course, you couldn't mention all of them, and although each one has significance standing alone, I think that overall, for his proposals to work, they all ultimately hinge on HR 1493, "exempting health care professionals from the Federal antitrust laws in their negotiations with health plans and health insurance issuers." In essence, companies like Anthem and United Health are monopolies, but through legalise, they are legitimized as oligopolies. As they are currently set up,. it makes if difficult for doctors to negotiate with them. Among other things, this will help to ensure patient quality of care as recommended by the physician in charge and responsible for that patient's well being.
These proposals are what health care reform is about, whether anyone agrees or disagrees with the specifics. The proposals address the essence of the issues that hamper quality care in a nation that should be the model for other nations.
No, this is NOT hyperbole.
It wasn't eerie, it was heinous.
Of course, the man who did it is called "christian".
-- yes, the scientists say, "Well, this cure works for real people in the real world, but it doesn't work for the rats in our laboratories, so it doesn't work and must be banned."

So BLAMING anyone but ourselves is really stupid. It's called accountability for our own actions and NOT blaming anyone. If you live in the victim mode, all you will get is victimhood.
Lee says: Beverage companies, brewers ... wineries ... distillers make more than Accident and Health Insurance. And Health plans rank 7 places lower than that in terms of their net profit margin?
I have no doubt the breweries etc are also slated to be put on the President's enemies list at some future time; but, for the moment one of the big boogey men is Health insurance companies and their offered plans, even though they rank about 81 places lower than breweries in terms of what their net profit margin is (as of Oct 2009).
Also, health insurance plans rank about 70-78 places lower in terms of net profit margin than Cigarette companies.
Health insurance plans rank about 42 places lower than soft drink companies on that same scale.
And, not that I have a problem with their profits but those of you who do .... Pharmaceutical manufacturers place just 6th from the top in regard to their actual profits ... The same companies the Huffington Post talks about here?
The same one the NY Times talks about here?

People! The health insurance companies make very little profit. Do some research. Check with Forbes or even Yahoo business. Do a Google search yourself. Most of them make an average of 3.3% profit. That's not much, and if you were in business with that little profit, you'd pack up and go back to working for someone else.
Johnice R. Oct 25, 2009, 5:14pm EDT
Marilyn, why do you continue to peddle that particular lie? Bonuses are paid out of profits and Insurance Companies paid out Billions of U.S. dollars in bonuses this year! Fact check that!
For example CEO in Health Care Insurance companies were paid the following:
Ins. Co. & CEO With 2007 Total CEO Compensation
Aetna Ronald A. Williams: $23,045,834
Cigna H. Edward Hanway: $25,839,777
Coventry Dale B. Wolf : $14,869,823
Health Net Jay M. Gellert: $3,686,230
Humana Michael McCallister: $10,312,557
U.Health Grp Stephen J. Hemsley: $13,164,529
WellPoint Angela Braly (2007): $9,094,271
L. Glasscock (2006): $23,886,169
Ins. Co. & CEO With 2008 Total CEO Compensation
Aetna, Ronald A. Williams: $24,300,112
Cigna, H. Edward Hanway: $12,236,740
Coventry, Dale Wolf: $9,047,469
Health Net, Jay Gellert: $4,425,355
Humana, Michael McCallister: $4,764,309
U. Health Group, Stephen J. Hemsley: $3,241,042

If our government would actually let us live, all healthy lives, we would have no need to visit any doctors and pay these enormous fees to Big Pharma. Bit they, if we all lived healty lives, there would be no need for the eugenics (agenga 21) program.
You see, what our government does is create a problem, then use their solutions(drugs) to not even cure the problem they created in the first place. It is a neverending cycle of dependence of a government we DO NOT NEED!!
Order out of Chaos..
Since I can't know ahead of time what any of these fees are it's not safe for me to go to a Doctor.. it could cost me everything putting me in debt for any life I have left.. It's much safter to just say to whole mess "F*** O*** and just not bother with any of it.
I got a stack of paper from when I went to the doctor several months ago, I went for a urinary tract infection, he gave me some pills that didn't work and told me I had a heart problem, he sent me to a get an echocardiogram but to the wrong address, it was very hot outside and I was a total wreck by the time I got the mess corrected.
I made another appointment and his receptionist called me with very strong anger because I had protested being sent to the wrong address. She was so angry I figured it wasn't safe for me to go back to that senior clinic..
I canceled the appointment soon I started getting all these papers in the mail, I can't understand the papers so don't know if a collection agency is going to be coming after me or not.
I can't afford to buy a gun to protect myself so I am at the mercy of stuff I don't understand and am under constant stress. The stress is having a further adverse effect on my health.
There is no way I can win. It reminds me of a book I read a long time ago.
"Catch 22".

Even with Medicare, I think there are agencies you can go to that will give you help in making sense of it. Call your town hall and ask them for a phone number.
It is VERY confusing - many times papers come which say "statements" and people think they are a bill, and pay it. When you see STATEMENT - do not send them money as they will not return, even if you made an error.
JUST CALL THEM!!!
Do you really-really-really, think that when the politicians place 300 million people under their care-Obamacare{which of course they have said no-way not for us}, You think that these government administrators and politicians {who have screwed up everything they have ever put their hands on} bankrupted every city-state-town, you are comfortable with these same idiots deciding whats best for you and your health???.
OBAMA naut itis??
PT Barnum-a sucker born everyday . But, 300 million suckers in one room??.

Your question reminds me of the idiot who could do nothing but complain. Refuse to participate in any public event but always called the police when anything wrong happened. Of course since he believes that everything the government touches is nothing but a mess which means he can't ever feel safe cause the military doesn't have the ability to defend us, that for some reason we have safe interstate roads that I know could have nothing to do with the government and all sorts of safety rules which help to protect you which I suppose just fell out of the sky cause they could not have a damn thing to do with the goverenment. If you had any idea how imbicilic your comments were you'd bury your face in sand and keep it there. To paint all government with such a broad negative brush not only tells a lot about your thinking ability but also glaringly points out that you must never get involved in trying to do a thing to improve on what is wrong with the government but set here and post rediculous stuff.
Republicans say the Government does not work and when they are in office they prove it.
Obama is still unable to intimidate ALL the incumbent Dems to move his Obamacare monstrosity smoothly through the process. Oh, hum...
Does THIS tell you anything Johnice?
Instead, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America,. the drugmakers' main trade group, shattered records by spending nearly $7 million on lobbying July through September. The outlay brings PhARMA's total so far this year to nearly $20 million, just shy of the group’s entire lobbying budget for 2008. Other big spenders for the third quarter included Pfizer, Inc. ($5.42 million); the American Hospital Association ($3.8 million); the AMA ($3.95 million); Amgen, Inc. ($3.0 million; Bayer Corporation ($2.45 million) and Americas Health Insurance Plans ($2.4 million). Many of Washington's broader interest groups have also ramped up their lobbying efforts. The powerful U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which is at loggerheads with President Obama on health care, climate change and other key issues, spent a stunning $35 million on lobbying in the third quarter alone.
I posted about this months ago, with the links.
Remember, Obama himself said, during his famous Wed. night address to the nation on healthcare, that the pharmasuticals will donate $90 Million towards healthcare (or even $100 if he asked them) . Hello, didn't anyone figure that out at that time?
There have also been multiple reports on the private, behind closed doors, deal he made with Big Pharma, even while, publicly he said otherwise. When he goes off the teleprompter, he inserts foot-in-mouth, EVERY time. More proof is when he made the off hand comments about the cop and his professor friend. Remember the Beer Summit at the White House???
He can't even keep the truth separate from his own lies.
