We now have our first official portrait of the first family. Celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz has captured the first family on film in the Green Room of the White House. The picture was taken on September 1st by the photographer, but was just released today, Friday October 23rd. We see President Barack Obama with his wife Michelle and his two daughters, Sasha and Malia.
Leibovitz is known for her work for Rolling Stone Vanity Fair, but it turns out she received no money for this photo shoot. The photographer has followed Barack Obama and his career since he first ran for the U.S. Senate in 2004. She has stuck by his side since then.
If you are wondering where the first dog is, Bo was left out of the photo. Apparently he was in the dog house that day, upstairs in the home area of the White House. Poor dog. He gets no love at all does he?
Check out the picture of the first family below.
