I had a very good time at Barnes and Noble yesterday. Due to transportation issues, I got there hours early, so I had fun browsing and reading until time for everything to start. It turns out I was doing a signing before the party, for an hour from 5:30 to 6:30. I didn't know that! I only sold 4 books, but I got to talk to some intersting people, and Francie, the lady who arranges events there, had me sign the other 14 or so they have and she said that they are going to put them up at the register and the cashiers will point them out to people over the next few days! She says that very often right after an event the signed copies all get sold. I felt very authorly signing the books at the table!
There were a BUNCH of teenagers at the New Moon party, and they seemed to enjoy hearing about Kennesaw House and Rosie's haunted doll, which are the chapters I read them. The school was making a deal with Barnes and Noble to take some of the books and sell them in the school bookstore!
Today, Amazon had Haunted Marietta on sale for $14.35, but this morning they had 4 copies left and now they have two. They said they are ordering more! And Ken says that when he checked yesterday they had 14. I know that this is not NY Times bestseller stuff, but it is making me happy!
I hope this all doesn't sound arrogant, talking about the appearances and stuff, but the book is basically what a large part of my life is about right now, and it's all very new and quite exciting. With the self-published books, I didn't get to do all this!

No, you don't sound arrogant at all. I've read arrogant authors on here; you sound nothing like them. ;)
Congrats on the demand for your book!
