Two insurance companies change their minds

On HLN I just heard that the two yr old who was denied coverage because she was too small will now be covered.

Also on HLN the man who was going to be dropped because his care cost too much will now get to keep his coverage.  It seems that now-a-days if you have trouble with your health insurance don't take them to court, take the story to the media.  Seems you get more done that way.

Its ridiculous when an insurance company doesn't want to cover a healthy baby or child because they don't fit the average growth charts. Many babies are chubby and roly-poly and they thin out around age 2 to 3 and are thin children. And some babies that are tiny and thin catch up and fill out in a few years. You can't go by what size a child is when its below 3 years old.

One insurance company refused to cover a baby because he was too fat in the company's opinion. They had a change of heart also when their name ended up in the national media. I see a trend here.

I'm glad that they agreed to give these people insurance. I think that the Ins Co's are too scared to take some people on. Just ridiculous IMHO.
