What is a Rocketmom?
Rocket Moms is a gathering of the smartest women on the web, working together to make Squidoo lenses (and a whole lot more). Check out the new RocketMoms HQ.
This is a 6 week exclusive program for only about 60 or so women on Squidoo. The main point is to meet each other, get creative with new lenses, and have fun.
A Giant Squid is a lensmaster who has created 50 really great lenses that have been hand reviewed by the Giant Squid Organizers, and thus has been accepted into the group.
Giant Squids get privileged access to tools, a distinctive gold star, (Gold stars not only look good, they give lenses a little ranking boost too!) the prominent Giant Squid badge (pictured here which appears on all of their maxed Squidoo lenses) and several other unique and really special perks.
and....I got notice yesterday that my lens Blankets for Christmas has been awarded a purple star.
What is a purple star?
These lenses are something special, all of them. They are exciting, innovative, fun, thought provoking, and very well executed. And, they are all - I'll repeat that - all made by Giant Squids. (Only Giant Squids are eligible for nomination.)
All Giant Squids (and only Giant Squids) are eligible.
Your Giant Squid Organizers will pick about 20 lenses a week to bless with purple stars.
You get a pretty little star on your lens.
And a small onetime lensrank boost.
And an awful lot of bragging rights.
It's that simple.
We're only giving out about 1,000 purple star lenses a year! They're scarce and special.
