Hi to all fellow Gather users,
So who else is with Paid2Youtube ? Is anybody else signed up and using this venture and if so have you actually cashed out ? I am a part of another discussion board where alot of users are wondering about this. Is it legitimate or not. I joined the venture not long ago as I found proof of on the actual site - however they could be fictive and falsely created..what do you think ? I stopped using the site, don't want to waste my time if it turns out to be a scam.
Are you a member of the site - if so - what is your experience using it.
Thanks,
Have a great day to all,
Maja

However, I can give you this as background: There are new "search engines" for various types of products that are cropping up all of the time, and YouTube does have a way to pay for video views (through the ads that now appear on the bottom of the videos).
That payment can be made directly to the person posting the video. It may also allow the option for "affiliates" to sign on to promote the videos that include advertising. If this is the model, then the affiliate would get a take of the profits when someone goes to that video to watch it if that person goes to the video after downloading a cookie from the affiliate site or after going to the video directly from the affiliate's site.
If indeed the latter applies here, then YouTube would have to allow its affiliates to cut a percent of commission to its "search" users. Some affiliate programs prohibit those cutbacks.
So, if you're interested in this program, it could indeed be legitimate. But you'll want to find out from YouTube's corporate office (an affiliate manager or business partnership manager there may be able to help) whether it offers affiliate relationships and whether those affiliates are allowed to give a percent of their commissions to users like you.
That should answer the question for you. Yes, it requires a bit of digging, but it may very well be worth it for you if you're a frequent YouTube viewer! Good luck!
