If you have any kids you know what I mean about this title. It's only October and my children are costing us money but in a good way, as most of you know my oldest daughter is in Upward Bound and they've started there Fall schedule. They will have a Christmas Formal dance in December and they were told it's formal, they will wear gowns for this event. She's also going to run for Miss Upward Bound they will have a parade in April, if she wins, she'll need a gown as well. So my plans are to purchase her a nice gown for the Formal dance and if she wins Miss Upward Bound, she can wear the same dress. She went on a FBLA trip last Thursday to Perry GA that was $30, now these are all good things that my husband and I said we don't mind paying because it will benefit her. She received her report card today and made all B's and one C which we think is incorrect, my daughter stated she saw her grades and she only had one C and the rest were A's and B's for that class so I'm going to the school tomorrow to talk with the teacher and when she does good in school my husband rewards her.
My seven year gets rewarded when she makes A's and B's as well and I received a letter today they are going to a Chrismtas Carol in December which cost $8 and in Sunday School they're exchanging gifts of at least $5. Last week she went to the Fall dance which cost $5 to get in and she needed extra spending money.
My son will be heading to College next Fall so we have to think about all he needs...if you have children and like me, I have 3, you really know what I mean.
I'm thankful that I'm frugal, if I wasn't my children would really go without.
