When I was little I got all of my vaccines (except Chicken Pox and yearly Flu). When I was some years older I had to get the MMR again because some test came back inconclusive for being vaccined for Rubella. When I was pregnant the first, second and third time I was told each time that my test came back inconclusive for being protected against Rubella and I was advised to get the MMR AGAIN because if I got Rubella while pregnant it could really hurt the baby. Since I remembered being vaccined more than once I declined getting it done again.
I mentioned this to my mom who told me that she has the same problem- every time she gets a blood test they mention to her that she might not be protected for Rubella. I am a little concerned that this trait, or whatever it is, will be passed to my children who will be encouraged over and over again to get the MMR after they've already had the required amount.
But that's not why I bring this up. I'm mentioning this because I am just curious as to why this happens to me. Does anyone know why I could get the shot over and over again and it not work? Is it my body denying it or something else? Could this mean that other things won't work for me? Could it be a bad thing?

Ferrets with poor immune systems (they're used as vaccine models because they are so similar to humans) do not get a good response to a vaccine, either.
I would press my doctor for a more conclusive test. It's possible that the screening test isn't sensitive enough or perhaps they have a different test that would tell you more.
I wonder if that has anything to do with why I get the flu when people around me get the flu vaccine.
The nasal wash thing is actually supposed to help. It's supposed to be great for nasal allergies, too. I dislike that feeling of drowning, and my sinuses are shaped weird and don't drain. So I end up sounding like a fish character in a Disney film for hours.
Yeah, he is a jerk sometimes! I will usually go to him and say, "I'm tired, I need a nap and you need to watch the other kids so I can rest!!" and before he would just roll over and go back to sleep or keep playing on his game but recently he has changed and now he will actually do it. And he has been participating more with the kids- he took them all to Lowe's with him while I took a bath (voluntarily, which is a seriously major deal!). I didn't warn him of all the things he needed to do/watch out for while watching them and he learned fast that I have a lot more on my plate than he thinks I do when I take them out. I told him afterwards exactly how to handle each situation he had to deal with and he had a bunch of "ah ha!" moments.
