CVS' Advisor Panel Helped Me Save Big Today

As a member of CVS's Advisor Panel, I had received a $15 survey payment in the form of CVS bucks. The expiration date was on the 23rd, so I knew that I needed to spend it today.

I did my best to stretch the $15 CVS bucks and to get some in return.

I bought 8 bags of Halloween candy on sale at $2.50 each, and I used two free coupons (when buying three bags) so the total was $15 (saved $13.72)

I also got 2 packs of Trident Layers gum on sale at $1 each, and I had a BOGO coupon = paid $1 (saved $1.98)

Finally I got a Glade three wick candle from the Fragrance Collection. It was on sale at $6.99, and I used a $3 coupon making it $3.99

The sub total came to $19.99

tax $.60

Total $20.59

I paid with the $15 CVS bucks from the survey and $4 CVS bucks from a previous purchase.

Total out of pocket $1.59

Total saved $40.70

I got $5 CVS bucks back from buying $20 worth of Halloween candy (before coupons)

I got $6.99 CVS bucks back from buying the Glade Candle

That is a total of $11.99 in CVS bucks

I have gotten in on a few of these surveys. They are great but they are few and far in between. Congratulation on your survey.

I'm glad to hear you've joined Marian. They only send out a couple of surveys each year, but when they do the rewards are high.

That's great! Elliott and I didn't make it to CVS yesterday, but there wasn't much that I wanted anyway. We did find some excellent clearance deals at Target and Old Navy, though. :)

Carla, there wasn't much I wanted either, which is why I went for the bucks back deals, so that I could have some for when I need them.

That's great. I didn't go to CVS last week or this week, since we've been out of town, but I will probably have to go and use some up next week before they expire.

Wow! I didn't know that CVS had this kind of opportunity for their shoppers. So, I'm def gonna check it out. Thanks. BTW, I know nothing about the program but it sounds like you are awarded in EC Bucks. I know that at my local CVS pharmacies they don't pay attention to the expiration date on the coupons that print out on the receipt. Even if they are expired, they will still let me use them. Thanks, again.
