New Question: Is there a Difference Between the Mind and the Soul

The mind... the soul... I don't know... but I think we are eternal beings. We last forever. Our bodies die, but we don't.

Your soul is your aura, it never dies. Unfeeling relates to DNA and chakra development, how you are wired. The mind is involved in that information which is carried on within the chakra system.

interesting topic as you might guess I am one of the first to get in on a discussion such as this. I am so very interested in living forever in a land or an existence of everlasting peace, tranquility and bliss that I do a lot of thinking on this subject, no perfect solutions of course, as none of us have. I believe through the mind we receive all things from the outer world that includes evil and good. I believe the mind can be affected and improved by a spiritual world that is only obtained from a direct connection and pathway to the Holy Ghost that was left to us by Jesus Christ.

I think the mind is part of our flesh and this present existence.

I think the soul is what will live on in eternal bliss or will burn forevermore in eternal suffering and damnation. As you can see I been taught strictly in a burning hell fire to try and avoid.

I tend to think if we die at age 85, we will be 85 in either eternal hell or eternal bliss. If we die at age 6 months, we will definitely be 6 months old in eternal bliss as a baby this young has no way of knowing right from wrong. I think there will be a selection of each age group and then the elect, which are those who have been called and if they obey their call, then chosen to reign in eternal bliss with God, Jesus, the angels and all else that will be in this new time that will last forever.

I been taught the world as we know it now will definitely pass away and be no more. And there will be a new heaven and a new earth. I don't know where hell will be, but I have also been taught from somewhere, either my church and those people or through the Holy Ghost that those in hell will be able to see those who are in eternal bliss, but those in eternal bliss will not be able to see those in hell because this would cause pain and tears, and scriptures say, God will wipe away the last tears we shed as we enter into eternal bliss, for those those of the elect that are able to enter into life everlasting. I think some of those last tears may be because we know people we love such as our family, children, etc., who have been or will be casted into hell and will not be going into eternal bliss with us, so therefore, God will be at the door ready to wipe away those tears for one last time. Tears and crying is a big thing to being humble. Jesus prayed and cried until his sweat became great drops of blood, so the life of the elect and for many people on earth contains tears, a lot of sorrow and crying, but for the last time the elect will shed tears when they enter into eternal bliss, and God the Father will wipe those tears away.

Once inside, and right now it is said to us, none of know exactly what is being prepared for the elect of God, which will include all those people who have died before they were able to discern right from wrong (I believe there are people destined to work as warriors for righteousness, who have to either serve as this, or die to go to hell), those people are like the ones who have to be like Jesus was when he walked on earth, ministering, going about trying to convince others about salvation and performing miracles to show the powers of God. Although people grieve when they lose young children and babies, I think these are actually better off, because they never have to suffer in the flesh and will live a life forever in bliss automatically.

We can read about gates of pearl, streets of gold, but still scripture tells us the place that is being prepared for those who search, find and follow after righteousness, we cannot imagine with our minds what that place looks like, eyes have not seen, ears have heard and the mind cannot imagine this place. It will be like a total surprise and the ultimate prize, so I have a real vested interest in this type of existence, and I think the body of those who make it to this existence will be such that whoever is there, we will recognize, because scriptures says "we will be known as we were known." If I die at age 60 and was a school teacher, in this eternal bliss land, I will be 60 and others there will know I was a school teacher. The difference is, those who make it to eternal bliss will suffer no more, will be sick no more, will not have to face death again, will just live on and on and on in a perfect state of peace and tranquility.

Those who are sent to hell, their body will burn in hell over and over again, day and night, because the scripture says it is a place where the fire is quenched not day and night and there will be so many people there, they will grabbing onto each other, yelling and poking at each other, (the words were just stolen as I type this), anyway...there is eternal suffering in the pits of hell for those who are sent there and right now hell has enlarged itself because there are so many destined to go there, oh they will be gnashing on each other's teeth is the words that were stolen because there will be so many that are casted into the pits of hell. Just think about much it hurts to burn your finger with hot water, it will be thousands of times hotter than this.

The road that leads to salvation and eternal bliss is narrow and few there be that find it and few there be that walk upon it.

The road to eternal hell is wide and many walk upon that road and many therefore shall be casted into the eternal fire.

I disagree, I don't believe in an everlasting "soul" as others do. Our souls are simply our inner consciousness, whether or not we are aware of it is irrelevant. I see the soul as the mind invested with emotions and past influences. When we die, so does our "soul". Now there is the fact that we may (and often do) influence others and in that sense a piece of our soul "lives on" but that is the extent of it. IMO

Of COURSE they're different. The mind is real. Soul...? Not so much.

Depends on their definition of soul. Whether they are "deserving" of one or not is a different matter entirely.

The soul has nothing to to do with religion . Religion is just like anything else its an instution. Soul , faith is a personal connect with the Almighty One. Whom ever that almighty one is to you.

When I Became a Christian, I gave my Mind,Body and Soul to God!
