Are the Twin Cities experiencing another musical golden age? That's the question I put to the cast, and we're asking you to consider the same on this week's show.

Mark Wheat and David Safar also joined me to discuss Brother Ali's strong new work, "Us," indie rockers Built To Spill's sixth effort, "There Is No Enemy," and the debut full-length from The Big Pink, "A Brief History Of Love."

Thanks Musicheads for your unique show. I've been a music junkie for a long time. Your show helps me figure out where my cd buying money will reap the most rewards. And thank goodness for Newbury Comics, an awesome New England record store. If you guys are reveiwing it, its probably just come out, and its probably on sale. Sometimes I'll get in my car in the morning and not even remember who the artist is thats playing. The other morning i'm on my way to work and this song just hits me like a truck. I eject the cd, its Mason Jennings, the song Black Wind Blowing, well it's just disturbing. I was sold completely. Mason Jennings is the real deal.

yeah, "so many others" that you guys dont play on the radio. stop wasting our time with grizzly bear and sondre lerche and all that lame bs you guys drive into the ground and play some off with their heads! those guys are local and kick major ass. great debut album. plenty more out there that makes MSP so cool. radio k has 89.3 beat hands down when it comes to the best of the local scene.
