It is much ado about nothing, Some feel angry some sarcastic,some hurt.They forget true Gandhi. Gandhi is nobody's copyright. He is a true world class citizen.US senate knows it. Obama knows it. The world knows it.Gandhi stands for love and compassion unconditionally.

A costly pen about 11lac rupee with Gandhi name and symbolic spinning wheel is sure to change the hearts of rich purchasers, They will find it difficult to be unGandhian.A change of heart in thesr rich persons using this pen shall certainly make them enter before the gates of heaven and they shall enter only if they show love charity and compassion for the deprived poor.During India=Pakistan Partition----------------------

In Noakhali when large scale communal viloence was going on ,Gandhi went on a fast till death.It stopped vi olence.A muslim killer(this is nicely shown in the filmGandhi) came to Gandhi urged him to eat bread. Gandhi saw a change of heart and asked him to adopt an orphan Hindu child and give him the best care

I hope that rich users for Gandhi namesake and pensake wud change their hearts and write cheques for charitable causes for poor whom Gandhi loved dearest

Your reverence for Gandhi is again noted. One would hope that some of that is shared by those who write with those luxurious pens, themselves a symbol of quality and caring. The act of writing and signing with such a pen was and perhaps is symbolic of caring enough about the recipient to do a quality act. It's also a symbol of something more permanent that a disposable ballpoint.

It may be that those who posture themselves to profit from the message of Gandhi, find the heart of his message embedded in their future decisions. We can hope that.
