My Green Hair

Yes, Ash does that to a lot of people. I go to Sally's beauty supply as I have a card there, and use what the pro's use - a good one is made by Ion Color Brilliance and you get the color and then the bottle of liquid to mix with it, it's half and half mixed. The liquid I get to mix with the color is for Sensitive Scalp 20. I've used different shades but never ash! You can go to their website and print out coupons too, they have a lot of good things there.

The other thing I did was to ask everyone that worked there, what they used, they all, every one of them, used that.

Shoot, I don't even know what my 'natural' color was, but I'm pretty sure it used to be Mouse Brown, lol, now it would be that with grey in it. My hair when I was young, had been all different colors at different times in my younger years, so I figure anything I color I use, IS my natural color (at one time, anyways), I'm just keeping it.

Must have been peroxide or bleach in it. In the 60's when hair dye was much harsher my mother always dyed her hair auburn. She decided to try for blonde and the dye reacted to the old dye in her hair and turned her hair a bright green.

Ash means no red in hair, and the bleach reacts to old dyes in hair. I hope you get it fixed up nicely.

since its not too green looking maybe just a few shampoos may take it out.

Ion Color Brillliance, you can get liquid or cream, I use liquid, this I've uhhh, used on Mark, we're keeping his too.

Medium Golden Blonde # 305865

Ion Sensitive Scalp -- 6% developer - 20

A good natural shampoo, they have them there. You'd use a total of four ounces for your hair, 2 ounces of each of the Ions, small plastic bottle, mix together and put it on your hair, leave on for about 20 minutes - rinse, use your own shampoo. I got Aura Organics or Nature's Gate Organic - they have different herbal blends.

For a a conditioner after? I buy Cure Care, it's not natural, but it's unscented and works.

I'd also ask everyone that works there. They're generally beauty school students and really want to help.

The dye will itch a little bit on your head but it stops when you rinse it out. That's normal. It won't stink up your whole place, either.

Oh, the good thing that the people that work there will also tell you? - is what they carry, that you should NEVER use!

I just got back from Sally's, she had me get Ion tri-level, with Wheat Germ, Dark Blonde. Two boxes, and 20% cream developer. Also Ion condioner. So sweet of my freind to buy this for me. We are getting ready to put it on. She has a Sally's card. I am most thank-ful to you also, and all my Gather freinds.

Yup, when it comes har color, "ash"means "green.
Been there. My solution was a darker color.

Green? I think the problem is with your eyes. Go see a doctor to determine if you are color blind.

Uh oh. Ash toner. If you ever run into a problem with a green tinge, pick up some ash toner and apply it. It will help.

Glad you got it fixed. My old neighbor decided to mix some hair colors together-2 different colors and use them-ended up looking like the hulk!

Happy you got it repaired. Those "ash" shades do the same with me and I end up with a bronze color. Now I just have my hair highlighted.

I've done that before, on accident of course. I have to stay away from anything with "ash" in the name or I go green too.

Your hair looks great now, it's darker, but you can always go lighter with the same brand, you've already got the conditioner - so you're all set that way too - you'd only need (forgot, yep, two boxes, longer hair than me, when mine was long, it took two boxes too), a lighter blonde, light golden blonde - and it'll lighten right up, but I like the new color on you.

No more ash! :)
